Nestor Torres...
Today I'm blessed.
In fact, Everyday!
But today is special.
I met nestor torres, the famous Latin Grammy Award winner.
He is a flutist. A musician, and most importantly,
He is a Soka Gaakai member.
He played tonight at our Soka Headquater.
I was touched by his music and his utimate courage to be able to play after an accident which left him 1 lung.
I manage to get his single from a lady I know working in our Soka HQ.
I went to get his autograph.
Somehow, I dunno why, but it seems like he can sense that I really look up to him and this autograph means a lot to me.
It seems like he can read my mind, as if he knows i' going through a lot of big probs like him then when he lost his wife, job and health, most importantly, the ability to play his flute again.
He initiated a hug...and the lady who gave me his CD told him that i'm actually the composer for this years Soka's Youth Peace Culture Festival's theme song.
He looked at me and ask, " do u play any instruements?"
"Yes, quite a few. I play organ. violin, piano, drums and guitar."
He look at me deep into the eyes," Wow, are you serious about music?"
"Yes, its part of my life!"
"Good. I'm looking forward to work with you in the future."
And he gave me 1 last hug.
I was touched and made up my mind to do my best in watever I do now and in the future.
When I left the autograph room, I met another lady whom i know.
I told her and she said,
"I know about your probs. But you have to be strong and go on. Just like Nestor, he had lots of probs, but he held on. And he is so successful now. Must really chant, don't stop. Everything will be fine..."
I cried.
Like what Mr Ong the president of Singapore Soka Association told me a few days ago.
"Now you r doing the youth culture festival theme song. Later you will do SSA den the SGI song. I am looking forward."
I feel so happy and full of energy!
Its like I've found a new goal in life!
Thank you Mr Ong!
Thank you Nestor Torres!
Thank you to all SSA leaders and friends who has always been there for me.
and
BIG THANK YOU TO MY DEAR GOHONZON!!!!
You gave me hope, you gave me light, you gave me a chance.
Nam-myoho-renge-kyo!
